Lord Howe Island30 Jan 2019
Whilst the office was closed for Christmas, Ian and Alison took advantage of the opportunity to visit Lord Howe Island, off the coast of Sydney. The island is smaller than Rottnest and is characterised by sandy beaches, subtropical forests and clear waters, and is teeming with bird life. The world’s southernmost coral reef protects a crystal-clear lagoon which is perfect for swimming, snorkelling and diving. There are also several magnificent day walks for those who prefer to be on dry land. A bonus was that there is no mobile coverage on the island, there was no TV and internet access is scarce. Alison and Ian couldn’t have asked for a more relaxing and enjoyable holiday!
